About the role#
This is a temporary, full-time internship position for Summer 2027. You will join the team in Houston, Texas, to perform structural dynamic analysis on spacecraft and lunar vehicles for NASA programs including Orion, Gateway, and the Human Landing System. The role is on-site and will not exceed 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Perform finite element model checks and dynamic model reductions.
- Execute dynamic analyses using commercial and in-house codes.
- Identify critical modes for components or integrated systems.
- Review and process modal and structural data.
- Develop and review test plans and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university as a Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering student.
- Completion of at least 45 credit hours.
- Minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Working knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or C/C++.
