About the role#
Amentum is hiring a Software Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This full-time, paid position is based on-site in Cocoa Beach, Florida. You will support the Space Force Range Contract team by helping with technical projects and operational tasks.
What you'll do#
- Develop requirements and work with Stargate developers to deploy a new Lab Systems Reservations capability.
- Build Lab Utilization Metric Reports.
- Transition lab schedule data from the existing Lab Scheduler tool to Stargate.
- Create user manuals and training aids for the new Stargate process.
- Train engineering staff and managers on how to use the new scheduling tools.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a junior or above in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Industrial Engineering program.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
