About the role#
The Visual Communications Intern translates finished window and interior design concepts into educational tools. You will help store teams recreate visual displays with clarity and confidence. This position focuses on the instructional side of design, blending editorial layout, visual storytelling, and content organization to turn creative concepts into actionable guides.
What you'll do#
- Translate creative direction into digital manuals for stores.
- Write build instructions, prop checklists, and styling guidance.
- Create placement diagrams and visual callouts.
- Develop instructional video content, including script outlines and editing.
- Organize notes and visuals into clean, magazine-style documents.
- Balance design intent with practical execution for store teams.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain organized file systems and project folders.
What you'll need#
- Junior, senior, or recent graduate status in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Visual Merchandising, Editorial/Publication Design, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Strong layout and visual organization skills, preferably using InDesign, Illustrator, or Figma.
- Attention to detail regarding visual polish and written grammar.
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable steps.
- Comfort managing multiple project deadlines.
- Collaborative communication style for cross-department work.
