About the role#
Allen Lund Company offers a paid, full-time internship in Middleton, Wisconsin. This is a rolling position designed to provide hands-on experience in the truck transportation industry. Interns receive training and exposure to brokerage operations with the potential for future full-time employment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with load tracking, tracing, and ensuring app compliance.
- Build loads, set up carriers, and schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
- Update customer systems with critical information and active load status.
- Communicate with carriers to inquire about lanes, equipment types, and quantities.
- Contact insurance companies to obtain certificates and update carrier references.
- Ensure all necessary documentation reaches Carrier Resources.
- Manage general office duties, including answering phones and supporting the accounting function.
- Develop comfort and confidence while speaking with carriers over the phone.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior in a Bachelor's degree program.
- Preferred majors include Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A self-motivated and competitive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- An enthusiastic approach to working as part of a team.
