    About the role#

    As a Systems Engineering intern at Allegion, you will join the Product Lifecycle Engineering organization in Indianapolis. You will work on products that provide security and access solutions. This internship offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams.
    • Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies.
    • Participate in design peer reviews and present your findings to cross-functional teams.
    • Collaborate with engineers to deliver system-level solutions.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • You must have completed your sophomore year by the start of the program.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, such as experience in school clubs, sports, or projects.
    • Comfort with hands-on lab work and problem-solving.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
    • Strong communication, time management, and creative problem-solving skills.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship.
    • The role is based on-site at the Hague Road Technical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
    • Please note that the company does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
