About the role#
As a Systems Engineering intern at Allegion, you will join the Product Lifecycle Engineering organization in Indianapolis. You will work on products that provide security and access solutions. This internship offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real projects.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams.
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies.
- Participate in design peer reviews and present your findings to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with engineers to deliver system-level solutions.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- You must have completed your sophomore year by the start of the program.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, such as experience in school clubs, sports, or projects.
- Comfort with hands-on lab work and problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong communication, time management, and creative problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship.
- The role is based on-site at the Hague Road Technical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
