About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity, gaining hands-on experience by shadowing district managers and store managers. The role focuses on learning store operations and the business practices of the company. Successful completion of the program may lead to full-time opportunities after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
- Shadow a store manager to learn the fundamental aspects of store operations.
- Assist your trainer with administrative tasks, including payroll, sales books, and hiring processes.
- Learn the components of the Customer Satisfaction Pyramid through store tours and customer walks.
- Take initiative to maintain excellent store conditions, improve associate performance, and manage stock efficiency.
- Prepare reports and presentations on operational areas for company executives.
- Participate in inventory management and store events like resets or grand openings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust to support the growth and performance of store personnel.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and work under strict deadlines.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Valparaiso, Indiana.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $28.00 per hour, with eligibility for overtime.
