About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. You will work 40 hours per week in a full-time capacity. The program provides hands-on experience working with district managers to run retail operations. Successful completion of the internship may lead to full-time opportunities after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow store managers and manager trainees to learn fundamental store operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as payroll, hiring, interviews, and orientations.
- Conduct customer walks and participate in store tours to learn about customer satisfaction.
- Prepare a report and presentation on an operational area to present to ALDI executives.
- Take initiative to improve store conditions, stock efficiency, and associate performance.
- Assist with inventory and participate in store resets or grand openings when possible.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional manner.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under strict deadlines.
- Skill in developing rapport, trust, and open communication with store personnel.
