About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program for students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. You will work on-site in O'Fallon, Missouri, gaining hands-on experience by shadowing store managers and district managers. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Shadow store managers and manager trainees to learn the fundamentals of store operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as payroll, invoices, sales book entries, and memo verification.
- Participate in hiring processes, including conducting interviews and orientations.
- Conduct customer walks and store tours to learn about the Customer Satisfaction Pyramid.
- Assist with inventory management and participate in store resets or grand openings.
- Work to improve store associate performance and stock efficiency.
- Prepare a formal report and presentation on an operational area for ALDI executives.
- Attend team meetings and company training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under strict deadlines.
- Capacity to build rapport, trust, and open communication with store personnel.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- A strong work ethic and the initiative to take on delegated tasks.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a group.
