About the role#
This internship is part of the X-Plant Engineering Team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks working on-site, gaining experience with commercial aircraft production. You will work alongside a mentor to solve real problems and contribute to ongoing manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Develop rework instructions to address non-conformities that deviate from design specifications.
- Coordinate with MAP and Design Office engineers to support repair efforts.
- Lead and support projects to improve production productivity.
- Maintain and update technical processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support overall process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- At least Sophomore standing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, including Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
- Experience through school projects in related fields.
- Ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
