About the role#
As an industrial engineering intern for the A220 pre-FAL, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations with a focus on cost and schedule. You will work alongside process performance engineers to support the A220 production line. This role involves defining standard line balancing based on technical constraints and production rates, as well as analyzing workstation performance to identify critical paths and blockers.
What you'll do#
- Analyze key performance indicators to highlight trends and gaps against targets.
- Lead operational observations to identify blockers and their root causes.
- Monitor project progress and communicate results to the Autonomous Production Team.
- Contribute to operational deliverables within the Process Performance Engineering team.
- Document industrial strategy potential and limits to support production rate increases.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Computer, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in French.
- Proactive, rigorous, and autonomous approach to work.
- Strong observation and synthesis skills.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in English is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Mirabel, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: Fall 2025 (starts September 8, 2025).
- Duration: 4 months.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (up to 2 days of remote work per week).
- Compensation: Paid position with a 40-hour work week.
