About the role#
This internship places you within the Industrial Engineering department at the Airbus manufacturing site in Mobile, Alabama. You will join a team focused on either Industrial Engineering or Process Performance Engineering. You will work alongside a mentor to solve real-world problems and contribute to the production of A320 and A220 aircraft.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and resolve production line disruptions to prevent recurrence.
- Introduce new modifications to the aircraft production line.
- Develop in-station plans to ensure job tasks are completed within Takt time.
- Identify root causes for technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet shared project goals.
- Communicate problems and feedback clearly within a team environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Sophomore standing or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience using Google Suite, including Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
- Ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is 100% on-site at our facility in the Mobile, Alabama area.
- You will be expected to wear required personal protective equipment, such as safety shoes and glasses, when visiting the shop floor.
