About the role#
Aecon is looking for a Co-op Assistant Coordinator to join the EHS team. This role provides operational support and resources to ensure safety standards are met across our construction projects. You will work on-site in Toronto, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Provide operational support and resources for the EHS team.
- Help input and complete project accident and incident reports.
- Coordinate and deliver site employee safety meetings.
- Assist EHS personnel with field level walk downs and site inspections.
- Manage the distribution of PPE supplies when needed.
- Maintain safety documentation for auditing purposes.
- Participate in EHS program improvements and provide feedback to the Safety Manager.
- Assist with administrative tasks for site orientations and support new supervisors with reporting processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or Biology.
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction site safety requirements or provincial legislation.
- A valid G license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direction and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to obtain OPG security clearance.

- Compensation: $23 to $28 per hour.
