About the role#
Advanced Agrilytics is hiring interns for the summer of 2027 to assist with on-farm scouting and spatial research in the corn belt. You will work on spatial agricultural research projects that analyze how seed, chemicals, equipment, and management practices interact with different environments. This role provides experience in general agronomy, plant pathology, and data evaluation.
What you'll do#
- Scout research trials across different areas and environments.
- Implement trials and collect data by working in groups.
- Execute accurate in-field trial work and perform plant collections.
- Process plant samples and enter data at research facilities.
- Participate in soil sample collection efforts.
- Communicate with growers, agronomists, and full-time employees.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Agriculture or Science degree track is preferred.
- Ability to work in on-farm and in-field conditions.
- Understanding of current farming practices.
- A task and project driven approach.
- A growth mindset and a desire for continuous learning.

- Locations: Thomasboro, IL; Champaign, IL; Huntington, IN; Ames, IA.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Travel: The role includes day travel as a team and occasional overnight events. Approved travel expenses are reimbursed.
