About the role#
Advanced Agrilytics is hiring Field Specialist Interns for the summer of 2027. You will work in the corn belt to assist with on-farm scouting and data collection. This is a paid, full-time hybrid position. You will gain exposure to plant pathology, entomology, weed science, and grower relationship management.
What you'll do#
- Provide agronomic observations across grower acres.
- Assist with scouting reports under the direction of agronomists.
- Collect soil samples.
- Support research efforts, such as hybrid trials and planter applied biological or fertilizer trials.
- Communicate with growers, agronomists, and staff.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Agriculture or Science degree program is preferred.
- Ability to work in outdoor, on-farm, and in-field conditions.
- Understanding of current farming practices.
- A task and project driven approach to your work.
- A growth mindset and a desire to learn.
Location & details#
- Locations: Illinois and Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Commitment: 40 hours per week, with occasional extra hours as needed.
- Travel: The role involves day travel as a team and limited overnight events. Approved travel expenses are reimbursed.
