About the role#
Advanced Agrilytics is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 season to assist with on-farm scouting across the corn belt. You will gain experience in plant pathology, entomology, weed science, and grower relationship management. This is a paid, full-time position that requires you to work in the field.
What you'll do#
- Provide agronomic observations on grower acres across different environments.
- Assist in creating scouting reports for customers under the direction of lead agronomists.
- Participate in soil sample collection.
- Help implement research efforts, such as hybrid trials and planter-applied fertilizer studies.
- Communicate effectively with growers, agronomists, and team members.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture or Science degree track.
- Willingness to work in on-farm and in-field conditions.
- An understanding of current farming practices.
- Ability to drive tasks and projects to completion.
- A growth mindset and a desire to learn.
Location & details#
- Positions are located in Indiana and Illinois.
- This role is hybrid and remote, though you must be willing to live or relocate to the assigned area.
- You will work 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime approved by your supervisor.
- The role involves daily travel as a team and some overnight events.
- Travel expenses are reimbursed.
