About the role#
The Abbott Operations Internship Program provides hands-on experience for students with strong academic records and leadership potential. This full-time, paid internship allows you to gain professional experience across various fields including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain management. We hire based on business needs and offer a pathway to explore career opportunities within our global healthcare network.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects with a direct impact on our business.

- Work in areas such as instrument development, process systems, plant maintenance, project management, quality assurance, and environmental engineering.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year of college coursework prior to the start of the internship.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program, with plans to return to school after the assignment.
- A strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
- Geographic mobility.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Majors accepted include Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Supply Chain Management.

- This is an on-site, full-time role.
- Locations include Casa Grande, AZ; Alameda, Menlo Park, Pleasanton, Santa Clara, Sylmar, and Temecula, CA; Columbus and Tipp City, OH; Abbott Park, Buffalo Grove, and Des Plaines, IL; Westford, MA; Westbrook, ME; Sturgis, MI; Minneapolis, Plymouth, and St. Paul, MN; Dallas and Plano, TX; and Alta Vista, VA.
