About the role#
This part-time student worker position is a contract role designed to complement your academic studies with hands-on professional experience. You will join the software team to contribute to real-world projects, working alongside engineers and researchers focused on autonomous vehicle technology. This role is not a traditional internship and does not include structured intern programming or a guaranteed pathway to full-time employment.
What you'll do#
- Analyze the coverage and exposure rate of events within highway data.
- Write Databricks notebooks to mine scenarios, create datasets, and build dashboards.
- Conduct exposure analysis to identify performance issues and data gaps by analyzing large-scale vehicle logs and simulation data.
- Write data analytic reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Python in production environments with standard repository practices.
- Experience working with time-series or sensor data.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least six months.
- Familiarity with robotics or autonomous vehicle data is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Foster City, California.
- Adherence to company confidentiality requirements regarding proprietary information.
