About the role#
Youth Villages offers a paid internship for students pursuing a Master's degree in social services. This position provides hands-on clinical experience within community-based programs. You will work with a flexible, non-traditional schedule designed around the availability of the families we serve.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home- and community-based family sessions.
- Carry a reduced caseload and implement clinical interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Attend three weekly meetings covering individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Access clinical trainings to enhance your professional skills.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation within our electronic medical record system.
- Provide transportation to various locations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in a social services discipline, such as psychology, criminal justice, or related fields.
- A valid driver's license.
- Access to an automobile for work purposes.
- Proof of auto insurance.
