About the role#
This is a paid internship for students pursuing a Master’s degree in a social services field, such as psychology, criminal justice, or related disciplines. The program provides hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health. You will work with a team to support children and families in their homes and communities.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home- and community-based family sessions.
- Manage a reduced caseload and implement specific interventions.
- Lead individual, group, or family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Participate in three weekly meetings focused on individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Access clinical training opportunities to build your skills.
- Complete documentation in an electronic medical record system.
- Provide transportation to various locations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program for a social services discipline.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A personal vehicle for work purposes.
- Proof of auto insurance.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Manchester, Plymouth, and Keene, New Hampshire.
- The term is Winter 2027.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- Compensation is $22 per hour.
- The schedule is flexible and non-traditional to accommodate the availability of the families served.
