About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. You will join our team for a 12-week program starting in May 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Participate in transmission line design for new installations, upgrades, relocations, and fiber optic enhancements.
- Use PLS CADD software and aerial imagery to map and represent transmission line routes.
- Collaborate with utility stakeholders and construction partners.
- Gain experience in model design, construction material procurement, and the creation of professional construction drawings.
- Support various engineering tasks to develop your technical, social, and ethical skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate or Master program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and digital tools.
