About the role#
The Construction Services Intern supports project teams in both office and field environments. You will assist with construction administration, site observations, project documentation, and team coordination efforts. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction administration tasks like submittals, RFIs, and meeting documentation.
- Participate in site visits to observe progress and document field conditions.
- Support coordination between contractors, design teams, and clients.
- Review drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Assist with preconstruction efforts such as takeoffs and cost support.
- Monitor project progress regarding schedule, quality, and safety.
- Use tools such as Procore and Bluebeam.
- Maintain organized project documentation and logs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide general project support.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Entering your junior or senior year of study.
- Basic understanding of construction processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to visit active construction sites, including standing, walking, and navigating uneven terrain.
- Vision abilities including close vision and depth perception.
