About the role#
The Construction Services Intern supports project teams in both field and office environments. You will assist with construction administration, site observations, documentation, and coordination efforts to ensure project success.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction administration tasks including submittals, RFIs, and meeting documentation.
- Participate in site visits to observe progress and document field conditions.
- Support coordination between contractors, design teams, and clients.
- Review drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Assist with preconstruction efforts such as takeoffs and cost support.
- Monitor project progress related to schedule, quality, and safety.
- Utilize tools such as Procore and Bluebeam.
- Maintain organized project documentation and logs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide general project support.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Entering your junior or senior year of study.
- A basic understanding of construction processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn.
- A genuine interest in construction and project delivery.
- The ability to visit active construction sites, including standing, walking, and navigating uneven terrain.
