About the role#
KPFF Consulting Engineers is hiring interns for our Austin office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. We focus on providing hands-on training and mentorship to help you develop your engineering skills.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with local engineers on a variety of projects.
- Participate in in-house training sessions.
- Engage in mentorship opportunities to grow your technical expertise.
What you'll need#
- You are a current student who has completed at least 3 years of a BS degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
- You maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA in your bachelor coursework.
- You have a solid grasp of structural engineering fundamentals, such as free body diagrams and P/V/M diagrams.
- Preference is given to students currently pursuing a Master degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Previous internship experience in a structural or civil engineering role is preferred.
- Completed coursework in structural statics and dynamics, steel design, concrete design, wood design, and seismic analysis and design is preferred.

- Location: Austin, Texas.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
