    About the role#

    Wood is hiring an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Student for the Winter 2027 semester. You will join our team in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, to support large-scale brownfield projects. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide engineering support within the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls groups.
    • Manage project schedules and budgets to ensure they are met.
    • Create documentation, including design drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, reports, and supplier document register lists.
    • Coordinate with third-party contractors and vendors to procure materials and equipment.
    • Complete Bills of Materials for material and service procurement.
    • Populate engineering database deliverables for project closeouts.
    • Work within a multidiscipline environment to complete large-scale projects.
    • Adhere to all HSEQ requirements within the discipline.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a post-secondary Engineering Degree Program.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
    • Ability to interact with personnel across engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams.
    • A strong safety orientation and a team-focused attitude.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
