About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Brooklyn, New York. You will work on-site at West Elm to gain experience in inventory planning for specific product categories like furniture, tabletop, or bath. The program runs from June 7th to August 13th, with some flexibility for students on a quarter system.
What you'll do#
- Use forecasting tools to optimize inventory flow and support sales.
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve future inventory needs.
- Attend business meetings and lead specific projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Develop a new project idea and present it to the executive leadership team.
What you'll need#
- Currently in your junior year of an undergraduate program, graduating in 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Proficiency in Excel, specifically vlookups and pivot tables.
- Ability to work on-site in Brooklyn four days per week.
- Majors in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Data Science.
