About the role#
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our Water/Wastewater Plants division. This is a full-time, paid internship based in our Jacksonville, Florida office. We are looking for students or graduates in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate project planning and organization.
- Assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager with daily tasks to ensure project completion.
- Review project plans and confer with management regarding bids.
- Enforce procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform data entry and contribute to general team goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or a degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to assist with project planning and daily administrative tasks.
- Attention to detail when reviewing project plans and contractor bids.
- Commitment to maintaining site safety and following company procedures.
