About the role#
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to join the team in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. You will assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager with the planning, organization, and completion of construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the planning and organization of assigned project responsibilities.
- Review project plans and confer with management.
- Evaluate bids submitted by contractors.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform data entry tasks.
- Support the Project Manager and Project Engineer with daily operational duties.
- Contribute to team efforts to achieve project goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Engineers and Project Managers.
- Strong attention to detail for plan review and data entry.
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site.
