About the role#
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to join the team in Tampa, Florida. This position supports the planning, organization, and completion of construction projects under the direction of the Project Engineer and Project Manager.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Project Manager and Project Engineer with daily tasks and project duties.
- Review project plans and confer with management.
- Evaluate bids submitted by contractors.
- Enforce safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a clean and secure working environment.
- Perform data entry tasks.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing project-related results as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Architecture.
- Ability to assist project management staff with planning and organization.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Attention to detail for data entry and plan review.
