About the role#
Wharton-Smith, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our office in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date. We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
What you'll do#
As an intern, you will support the Project Engineer and Project Manager in planning and organizing construction projects. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project plans and discussing them with management.
- Evaluating bids from contractors.
- Assisting with general daily tasks and project duties.
- Performing data entry as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe job site by enforcing company rules and safety procedures.
- Supporting the broader team to ensure project goals are met.
What you'll need#
- You must be a qualified candidate currently enrolled in an engineering or related degree program.
