About the role#
As an IT Strategy & Planning Intern, you will work as part of the Office of the CIO. You will support the Strategy & Planning team in coordinating projects that help IT align with business needs. Most of your time will be spent within the Strategy & Planning department, with some exposure to other IT teams to see how governance and strategy work in practice. You will report to the Strategy & Planning Director.
What you'll do#
- Assist with IT strategy research, documentation, and the creation of executive materials.
- Support project and portfolio tracking, including the maintenance of dashboards and governance activities.
- Help with IT budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting.
- Contribute to internal programs such as onboarding, mentorship, skills documentation, and learning platform reporting.
- Document processes and support operational excellence initiatives.
- Shadow various teams, including applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, business, management, finance, HR, or a related field.
- You have completed your sophomore year of college.
- You have familiarity with enterprise IT or large organizational environments.
- You have experience creating presentations, reports, or dashboards.
- You have experience in, or an interest in learning, Microsoft technologies such as Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Project Online, or Planner.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
- The role is hybrid.
- The term runs from May to August 2027.
