About the role#
As a Project Engineering intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the nuclear power industry. You will report to the APx Project Engineering Manager and work at our Cranberry Township facility. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Help develop engineering solutions for the AP300 and AP1000 projects.
- Support the project engineering team by compiling technical design information and preparing reports.
- Work with various engineering groups to ensure the delivery of engineering commitments.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions regarding technical challenges and solutions.
- Assist in developing licensing strategies and meeting licensing requirements.
- Conduct analysis to support project decision-making.
- Prepare presentations and documentation for partners.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related engineering field.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- An interest in the nuclear power industry and nuclear systems.
- Previous internship or project experience in engineering.
- Familiarity with nuclear power plant design and operations.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles.

- Location: Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
