About the role#
As a Technical Supply Chain & Procurement Intern, you will support sourcing, supplier management, quality, engineering, and procurement tasks for major nuclear energy projects. You will work alongside engineering, project management, and supply chain teams to help procure technical products and services. This role reports to the department manager.
What you'll do#
- Support supplier identification, qualification, and evaluation activities.
- Assist with technical reviews of supplier proposals and compliance documentation.
- Help prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages.
- Support supplier audits, technical meetings, and design reviews.
- Participate in supplier quality and procurement planning activities.
- Help evaluate manufacturing and process plans.
- Analyze supplier performance, cost, schedule, and technical data.
- Support project teams throughout the procurement lifecycle.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for mechanical, electrical, industrial, nuclear, or manufacturing engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- Ability to analyze supplier performance and technical data.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Work modality is hybrid or on-site.
- Locations include Cranberry Township, Warrendale, Blairsville, or New Stanton, Pennsylvania.
- Pay is estimated between $25.40 and $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
