About the role#
As a Data Scientist Intern, you will work with our business teams to predict risk, optimize customer retention, and detect anomalies. You will use internal and third-party data to improve process efficiencies. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Build models using generalized linear models, machine learning, and AI techniques.
- Gain hands-on experience with insurance risk, claims, and retention models.
- Create data visualizations to share findings.
- Collaborate with business areas in an agile environment.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or Data Science.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent programming skills in Python, R, and SQL.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- This is an on-site role based in West Bend, WI, or Madison, WI.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
