About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience working with insurance professionals to build data solutions. You will work directly with our Actuarial and Product Management departments to deliver data assets that support predictive modeling, rate making, and portfolio management. You will be paired with a mentor to help you build the habits needed to succeed as a Data Solution Engineer.
What you'll do#
- Solve real business problems alongside a team of Data Solution Engineers.
- Build pricing, rate making, and portfolio management data sets.
- Learn and gain proficiency in technologies including Snowflake, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, SAS, SQL Server, Python, and Microsoft PowerBI.
- Participate in a community service project.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related program.
- Experience with at least one coding language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills to complete project tasks and meet deadlines.
- A genuine desire to learn, explore, and discover.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid Summer 2027 internship.
- The role is based on-site in either West Bend, Wisconsin, or Madison, Wisconsin.
