About the role#
Capital Insurance Group is seeking an Analytics Summer Intern to join our team in Reno. This internship provides an opportunity to build technical skills and gain practical experience within the insurance industry. You will work directly from our office as part of a structured program designed to develop future leaders.
What you'll do#
- Gain industry expertise in core actuarial disciplines.
- Lead your own analysis projects under the supervision of seasoned actuaries.
- Develop solutions to technical problems.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing or hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
- A GPA of 3.6 or higher is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Python or R is preferred.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The position is based on-site in Reno, Nevada.
- Compensation is $25.00 per hour.
