About the role#
Capital Insurance Group is seeking a Technology Intern for a 12-week summer program. This role is for students interested in software development who want to gain hands-on experience in an office environment. You will work directly with our IT team to build and maintain technology solutions for our employees and policyholders.
What you'll do#
- Write code using object-oriented programming languages.
- Create unit tests for your development work.
- Modify and work with basic SQL queries.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
- Use development tools like git and Jira.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in mentorship sessions to learn new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language, with a preference for Java.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full 12-week session.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The position is on-site at our offices in Reno, Nevada, or Phoenix, Arizona.
