About the role#
Capital Insurance Group is looking for an Actuarial Summer Intern to join our team in Reno. This internship program focuses on developing future leaders by providing hands-on experience in core actuarial disciplines. You will work directly with our experienced actuaries to build your technical skills and gain insight into the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Gain practical expertise in core actuarial disciplines.
- Lead your own analysis projects under the supervision of seasoned actuaries.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing or have earned a bachelor or master degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative subject.
- Completion of at least one actuarial exam is highly preferred.
- A GPA of 3.6 or higher is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Python or R is preferred.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site at our office in Reno, Nevada.
