About the role#
This is a full-time internship within the treasury department at WEC Energy Group. You will work with the Risk Manager and Risk Analyst to support insurance and financial risk functions. This position is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the information collection and submittal process for insurance renewals.
- Participate in renewal meetings with brokers and insurance carriers.
- Review compliance with insurance provisions for state-mandated programs.
- Participate in contract reviews to ensure appropriate insurance provisions.
- Provide Certificates of Insurance and Self Insurance letters to internal and external parties.
- Support large corporate claims settlements.
- Monitor Letters of Credit provided by gas counterparties.
- Gather information for quarterly credit memos.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- A graduation date after June 2027.
- A minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Coursework in Risk Management, Commercial Insurance, Property Insurance, Liability Insurance, or Risk Financing Techniques.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

- Compensation: $21.30 to $24.60 per hour, including paid company holidays.
