About the role#
Weaver is hiring interns for our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice for Summer 2027. This full-time, paid internship offers exposure to either our Business Processes or IT Services teams. You will work directly with clients to support their organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
What you'll do#
- Work with clients to model services that fit their specific structure and staffing needs.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify critical information for client organizations.
- Learn internal audit and internal control concepts.
- Gain experience with financial statement close and reporting processes.
- Develop a basic understanding of IT general controls, including security administration, program change management, and computer operations.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- Basic familiarity with GAAP, GAAS, and IIA standards.
- Basic understanding of IT controls and compliance.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Section 404.
- Ability to travel if required for client engagements.
