About the role#
Join the Flight Dynamics and Control Law team for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work with experienced engineers to develop and validate flight control laws. These systems manage aircraft stability, autopilot functions, and fly-by-wire operations. You will gain exposure to the full development cycle, from initial concepts to laboratory testing and flight validation.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, analysis, and testing of advanced aircraft control systems.
- Perform mathematical modeling and develop simulations.
- Conduct control law and data analysis.
- Support flight test activities.
- Verify flight control system requirements.
- Evaluate aircraft performance and handling characteristics.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Understanding of dynamic systems and feedback control principles.
- Familiarity with linear systems, transfer functions, and control system design concepts.
- Experience analyzing engineering data and presenting technical results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Completed projects or research involving aircraft simulation, autonomous vehicles, robotics, control system design, or dynamic system modeling.
