About the role#
This is a full-time internship for the summer of 2027. You will work within our engineering teams to develop software for autonomous driving technology. This role is based in Mountain View, California and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Launch features that improve how the Waymo Driver behaves in complex and challenging environments.
- Partner with onboard engineers to integrate and validate large machine learning models within real-time production systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or related degree program.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Strong skills in data structures and problem solving.
- Experience applying machine learning to robotics, motion planning, or computer vision problems.
- Knowledge of core machine learning concepts and algorithms.

- Pay: $60 per hour for Bachelors candidates and $70 per hour for Masters candidates.
