About the role#
Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking interns for Video and Audio Editing roles for the Fall 2026 term. This program offers hands-on experience in news production and media editing within a professional entertainment environment. Interns will work 16 to 24 hours per week for a 10-week duration, beginning October 12th and concluding December 18th. These positions are paid and require on-site attendance at the New York office.
What you'll do#
- Edit podcast episodes and news briefs using Descript.
- Collaborate with hosts and producers to develop episode outlines and draft scripts.
- Fact-check scripts to ensure content meets journalistic, quality, and legal standards.
- Identify memorable audio bites to support social media promotion.
- Pitch original ideas for future episodes and show concepts.
- Assist with news production editing, graphic creation, and the development of stylized program elements.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior actively enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Demonstrate a strong passion for journalism and current events.
- Possess proficiency in conducting online research.
- Ability to work flexible, in-person hours to align with production schedules.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Relevant academic backgrounds include Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Business Administration, Psychology, English, or Political Science.
