About the role#
This internship program offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience within the media and entertainment industry. Interns will work on various projects related to video and audio editorial tasks, supporting production teams in a collaborative environment. This is a paid, 10-week program running from October 12th to December 18th, 2026, requiring 16 to 24 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Edit podcast episodes and news briefs using Descript.
- Collaborate with hosts and producers to develop episode outlines and draft scripts.
- Fact-check scripts to ensure they meet journalistic, quality, and legal standards.
- Identify memorable audio bites to support social media promotion.
- Pitch original ideas for future episodes and shows.
- Assist with news production editing, graphic creation, and the development of stylized program elements.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior actively enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong passion for journalism and current events.
- Proficiency in online research and news-related software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours in-person at the office.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in fields such as Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Business Administration, Psychology, English, or Political Science.
