About the role#
Warner Bros. Discovery is offering multiple Fall 2026 internship opportunities in Video and Audio Editing based in New York City. These roles provide hands-on experience in news production and media creation within a hybrid work environment. Interns will work 16 to 24 hours per week between October 12th and December 18th.
What you'll do#
- Take direction from Producers and Senior Producers to shadow, develop, and produce content.
- Edit podcast episodes and news briefs using Descript.
- Collaborate with hosts and producers to develop episode ideas, outlines, and draft scripts.
- Fact-check scripts to ensure they meet journalistic and quality standards.
- Support social media promotion by identifying audio bites and drafting social language.
- Assist with news production editing, graphic creation, and the development of stylized program elements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university as a rising Junior or Senior, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Psychology, or Political Science.
- Strong passion for journalism and current events.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work in a high-pressure, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in conducting online research and using news-related software.
- Ability to work flexible hours in-person to accommodate production schedules.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

- Compensation: $19 per hour for undergraduate interns and $25 per hour for graduate-level interns.
