About the role#
CNN Newsgathering offers multiple internship opportunities in New York City for the Fall 2026 term. These positions provide hands-on experience within a major news organization, allowing students to contribute to daily broadcasts and digital platforms. This is a paid, hybrid internship requiring 16 to 24 hours of work per week from October 12th through December 18th.
What you'll do#
- Understand the process of pitching stories.
- Conduct daily research for scripts.
- Assist in producing packages and segments for daily shows.
- Gather and publish news content for national and regional audiences.
- Write scripts for broadcast news programming.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student.
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher and be in academic good standing.
- Demonstrate strong writing skills and high attention to detail.
- Possess an interest in all aspects of digital and broadcast news media.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere is required.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
