About the role#
As an intern on the Diagnostic Data Engineering team, you will support the development of aftermarket diagnostic solutions for Volvo and Mack trucks. You will report to the Diagnostic Data Engineering Manager and work directly with engineers to gain experience within the manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Write Python scripts to automate manual processes and improve production speed.
- Develop small scripts or mobile apps based on project requirements.
- Test your work hands-on using actual Volvo Group products, including trucks, electrical vehicles, and rigs.
- Document your progress throughout the internship and present your work to management at the end of your tenure.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Completion of at least 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.

- This position is located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a paid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
- Interns may work up to 30 hours per week.
