About the role#
As a Finance Intern at Vermeer Corporation, you will support various finance teams through project-based work. This role involves applying accounting knowledge to financial models and systems to help the business make decisions. You will work on-site at our Pella, Iowa corporate office during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform budget-to-actual comparisons and trend analysis.
- Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to support operational initiatives.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports while identifying performance drivers.
- Support treasury activities such as cash forecasting and working capital analysis.
- Assist with data cleanup, process optimization, and financial software projects.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma.
- Current enrollment in a Finance, Accounting, or related degree program.
- Knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, financial consolidation tools, and Power BI.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
- Ability to execute detailed processes while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
