About the role#
The Training and Development Specialist Intern supports the creation and evaluation of internal training programs. You will work with subject matter experts to assess learning needs and build curriculum that aligns with company goals. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Pella, Iowa for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop training curriculum using adult learning methodology.
- Partner with internal experts to format training materials for various delivery methods.
- Consult with stakeholders to identify specific learning needs.
- Facilitate training sessions based on established plans.
- Evaluate existing programs to measure effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Research external tools, courses, and materials to support training initiatives.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program in Education, Communications, Human Resources, or Adult Learning.
- Knowledge of adult learning methodology, facilitation, evaluation, and test construction.
- Familiarity with camera and projection equipment.
- Ability to break down complex tasks for learners and communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Skills in project management and the production of accurate, professional documents.
