About the role#
The Youth Programs Intern works with the Youth Programs Department during the 2026-27 Utah Jazz season. This role offers hands-on experience in youth sports programming, including event operations, community engagement, and coaching support. You will help grow the Lady Notes girls basketball program, Jazz Bantam, and other youth basketball initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute Lady Notes and Jazz Bantam events, leagues, and community activations.
- Manage registration, communication, and participant experience.
- Coordinate youth basketball tournaments and special events.
- Provide customer service to families, coaches, and community partners.
- Attend events and games to assist with onsite logistics and operations.
- Help develop the Lady Notes program to create positive experiences for girls across Utah.
- Assist with planning future basketball programming and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- A passion for youth sports and growing the game of basketball.
- Experience working with children in sports, recreation, education, or community programs is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid Utah driver license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report screening.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods.
