About the role#
The Quantitative Risk Analyst Intern role provides an opportunity to practice skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk within the financial services industry. You will work under direct supervision to apply quantitative techniques to model risks and provide insights for strategic decisions. This internship is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the assessment of future risk, opportunities, and efficiency.
- Help the team produce standard methodologies to quantify risk and aggregate exposures.
- Assist with model validation activities and reporting.
- Produce analytical material for cross-functional teams to help understand business objectives.
- Compile communication materials regarding analytical results, findings, and solutions for governance committees.
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and rating agency requests.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Graduation date must be after August 13, 2027.
- 0 to 2 years of related experience with simple to moderately complex tasks or projects.
- Foundational knowledge of risk management, regulatory, or operations experience.
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Understanding of Python, Tableau, SQL, and other technological languages.
