About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in data analytics within the food distribution industry. You will work with the Data Intelligence & Advisory team to support business-impacting projects. The program includes regular check-ins with a manager and a mentor to provide guidance and feedback. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Meet with product owners, managers, and business users to gather requirements and identify enhancement opportunities.
- Create requirements documentation and user stories to define processes and specifications.
- Join daily and weekly Agile team meetings.
- Coordinate with the development team to turn requirements into technical designs.
- Work with the user experience lead to learn about wireframe design.
- Partner with the testing team to verify requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Attend meetings focused on tool deployment planning.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Students generally between their Junior and Senior years or between their 1st and 2nd years of graduate school.
- Experience with business process optimization or gathering business requirements.
- Exposure to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to commute to the office location with reliable transportation.
